the location is well positioned near stores and peak district beauty. the staff were very friendly! the room was a good size for a standard double. the bed was very comfortable.
The menu lacked a sunday roast option. it took an hour for the food to arrive after ordering at the bar. some food was not hot, overcooked with charred edges, and vegetables were overcooked.

The staff helped in every possible way. They really were pretty good! the views were lovely and expansive. the rooms were clean and decorated with great attention to detail. i would love to return soon.
the bed was a little firm for my taste and affected my sleep. it's the only thing i can think of that could be improved. next time, i might bring a mattress topper.

Wonderful Stay Near Peak District

The staff were professional. They quickly addressed my requests. I found the double bedroom of an excellent standard and very clean. The breakfast and dinner were very good, with great value at the restaurant. I would book again. The homemade pastry reminded me of traditional recipes. I appreciated the service with a smile from every member of staff.
The small room in the annexe had no view, disappointing. It seemed built for staff, not guests. I was expecting something different. The room description online gave a different impression. I also missed having a self-service breakfast bar for tea, coffee, and cereals, as everything had to be ordered separately.
